Ski resort Sljeme is situated on the northen slopes of the Medvednica mountain, close to the Croatian capital – Zagreb.
Ski slopes and ski lifts on Sljeme are located on the top ridge and on the northen slopes of Medvednica. The ski slopes begin almost at the very top of the mountain and continue East along the top ridge across the White Meadow and North along the steep Red Slope. On the northern side along the Red Slope, there are also the Green, Blue and White slopes that are defined by the natural terrain configuration.
The total lenght of the ski slopes is approximately 4,000 meters. Three ski lifts, 2 pullies (on the White and Green slopes) and a three-seater ski lift (on the Red Slope) have a total capacity of about 3,300 skiers per hour. The Red Slope, the White Meadow, the Green Slope and part of the Blue Slope are equipped with snow machines. All the ski slopes are maintained by modern equipment.
The lighting system enables night time skiing on the Red Slope and White Meadow. Night skiing is scheduled on Tusedays and Thursdays, from 7pm to 10pm.
Along with good conditions for recreational skiing, the Sljeme Ski Resort provides conditions for organizing all kinds of skiing competitions, including the most famous and the most prestigious FIS World Cup race.
